Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a chronic bronchitis and/or emphysema characterized by airflow obstruction, which may further develop into a common chronic disease of pulmonary heart disease and respiratory failure. It is related to abnormal inflammatory reaction of harmful gas and harmful particles, with high disability rate and fatality rate.
Experimental animals: Beagles, sheep and pigs
Model making method:
A 5F single-curved catheter was introduced through an anesthetized endotracheal intubation to the target lung segment established by preoperative CT.
Inject papain, 75μg/kg
observation was conducted once a week, for 4 weeks.
Model identification: CT imaging and pathology.
Application: Mainly used in the study of pathogenesis and mechanism of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
