Gastric ulcer model


Gastric ulcer is a type of peptic ulcer, which refers to an ulcer that develops in the lining of the stomach. The inner wall of the stomach has a protective gastric mucosa. When the gastric mucosa is damaged for some reason, it is easy to appear ulcer in this part, namely,  gastric ulcer.


Experimental animal: adult healthy experimental dog, about 10kg.


 Mold making method:


1.Indwelling needle was established for the dog forelimb and fixed with adhesive tape.

2.Slowly push 5-10ml propofol until the dog is anesthetized.

3.Place it on the operating table for airway intubation, usually no. 7.5.

4.Plug in oxygen and isoflurane, oxygen 1.5-2, isoflurane 3.5.

5.Use bandages to fix the dog's limbs on the operating table in supine position. A monitor clip is attached to the tongue so that the monitor displays heart rate, respiration, and oxygen saturation.

6.The selection sites of gastric ulcer canine model  include: fundus of the stomach, great curvature of the stomach, gastric Angle notch and pyloric sinus.

7.Find the corresponding position according to the physiological and anatomical structure when  gastric endoscope was put into the stomach.

8.Use laser to hit  three trauma with small, medium and large sizes respectively. 

9.Keep a distance from the trauma to avoid the combination of ulcers and take photos.

10.After making the model, send it to the feeding cage for nursing.

Detection index:

1.Vital signs: body temperature, heart rate, respiration, appetite, dehydration degree, etc.

2.Blood gas examination: potassium, sodium, chlorine, total amount of carbon dioxide, glucose, pH, hydrogen acid root, extracellular fluid alkali remaining and anionic space.

3.Routine blood tests: white blood cell count, lymphocyte count, red blood cell count, hemoglobin concentration, cell hematocrit, platelet count, neutrophil count, monocyte count, lymphocyte percentage, etc.

4.Biochemical examination: total protein, albumin, alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, total bilirubin, creatinine, urea nitrogen, alkaline phosphatase, etc.

5.Stool examination: the color, characteristics, soft and hard of feces, feces parasites, red blood cells, fat, starch particles, muscle fibers, fungi, epithelial cells, white blood cells, fecal blood).

6.Urine examination: Physical state of urine: color, odor, urine volume, chemical examination, test results of urine strip (urine specific gravity, PH, red blood cells, white blood cells, tubular type, bacteria and epithelial cells).

9.Pathological section examination: the biopsy forceps were used to follow the gastric endoscope into the stomach, and the ulcer foci formed after modeling were placed in paraformaldehyde. After that, the sections were embedded and other operations, and finally pathological analysis was conducted.


Application:


It is of positive significance to explore the etiology, pathogenesis and development of the disease as well as to clarify the treatment and research and development of new drugs. It can provide experimental basis for clinical gastric ulcer research. It can also to be used in comparison of B ultrasound and endoscopy treatment.
