Animal model of cervical facet joint dislocation in dog
Dislocation of the cervical facet joint is common in the lower cervical spine and is often accompanied by spinal cord and intervertebral disc injuries. Secondary vertebral artery injury is likely to occur.
Experimental animals: weight 12 ~ 15kg, dog age 1 ~ 1.5 years, male and female unlimited
Mold making method:
1.Place an indwelling needle from the dog's forelimb and bind and fix it with medical tape.
2.Slowly push in the freshly configured MPTP solution (0.2-0.4mg/kg, Sigma Company).
3.In the same way, the dogs were injected with the same amount of MPTP solution for 5 consecutive times every other day after the first injection.
4.After the last injection, the experimental dogs were provided with orange juice containing levodopa three times a day.
Model identification:
1.Behavioral evaluation Scale for Parkinson's disease was used. Behavioral scores and videos were performed on experimental monkeys at regular intervals every day before levodopa given.
2.Brain histopathological examination: 3 months after modeling, the dog was anesthetized and fixed by intracardiac perfusion with normal saline and paraformaldehyde. The experimental monkey brain was completely removed and dehydrated by hypertonic sucrose water. The thalamus and brain stem were sectionally sliced for HE and TH staining.
Application: To verify the efficacy of drugs in treating Parkinson's disease.
